Century Announcement Puts Fastener Nearshoring into the Bill of Materials
Century Fasteners de Mexico announced a September 29–30 appearance at the Automotive & Aerospace Nearshoring Summit in Chihuahua. The company plans to present its relationship with Cherry Aerospace at Booth E32.
Century says the relationship expands bill-of-material coverage for manufacturers. Its release describes fasteners, consumables, inventory technology and support for aerospace, industrial and electronics customers across Mexico.
This is a supplier announcement, with no evidence of customer awards, stock depth, lead-time gains, cost savings or production results.
For buyers, local presence is one part of nearshoring. The full test covers approved part numbers, certificate flow, lot traceability, alternate-part rules, installation tools, line-side replenishment and shortage response.
A warehouse address cannot carry an aerospace program by itself. Product approval, documentation, inventory and application support must move as one system.
